NATCHEZ — The city’s Preservation Commission faces several decisions tonight, from replacing an asphalt shingle roof with a metal one to approving a resident’s request to place a metal digital print flag over existing plywood.

The Preservation Commission meets Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 115 S. Pearl St., Natchez.

The Preservation Commission is charged with making decisions about exterior changes to houses and properties within the city’s historic district.

Its agenda includes:

• An application from Scott Schweiger, 26 Cemetery Road, to convert a two-car garage into a studio apartment.

• An application from Bill Jones, 100 State St., to place a metal digital print flag over existing plywood.

• An application from Forrest Johnson, 201 Clifton Ave., to remove asphalt shingles and install a new 26-gauge, 5V crimp metal roof in charcoal gray.

• An application from Glenn Green of B.G. Green Investments LLC, 415-419 Main St., to approve a sign for 419 Main St., add awnings to the front of the building and install prior existing shutters on the second-floor windows.

• An application from Dan Thibodeaux, 305 S. Wall St., to repoint and replace damaged brick retaining wall on the back property line of the property.
