On Monday at 10 am, the National Hurricane Center issued an advisory stating that Category 1 Hurricane Leslie is 1120 miles west of the Southernmost Cabo Verde Islands, with maximum sustained wind of 85 mph. It’s moving 13 mph to the northwest.

“Gradual weakening is forecast through the week, and Leslie is expected to weaken to a tropical storm in a day or so.” according to forecasters.
