JEFFERSON COUNTY — A 20-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot by his cousin in Jefferson County Tuesday morning.
At approximately 7 a.m. Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received a call about the shooting in the McNair community.
LaJhavian Clark had been shot once in the upper body and was airlifted from a nearby hospital.
JCSO arrested 26-year-old Ezekial King, Clark’s cousin, following the incident on the charge of aggravated assault.
King is being held at JCSO awaiting his initial appearance before a judge, Sheriff James Bailey said.
The two were in a verbal dispute, which led to the shooting, he said.
The investigation remains ongoing by JCSO. No other details were available.
