NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Marcus Moore, 42, of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024, in Alexandria, Louisiana, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024, at noon at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Tracy Cusic officiating.

Burial will follow at the Old Mt. Plain Church Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Marcus was born June 19, 1982, in Natchez, the son of Patricia Reed Moore and Troy Lee Moore. He was a graduate of Natchez High School. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, riding four-wheelers, traveling, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father; son, Robert Campbell, Jr.; grandmothers, Zeda Reed and Mary Lee Moore; grandfathers, Julius Reed and Marian Moore; and an aunt, Alberta Davis.

Marcus leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Stacye Strauder Moore; mother, Patricia Moore; daughter, Lillian Curtis; sisters, Troylynn Thomas and Brittany Moore; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
