NATCHEZ – Linda Gail Moore, aged 78, passed away peacefully on Sept. 13, 2024, at home. She was born on March 11, 1946, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Lewis and Violet Richmond.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Joy Knight; her brother, James Richmond, and her sister, Cynthia Smith.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert (Bobby) Moore; daughters, Diane Lofton (Danny), Robin Herring (Dexter), Debra McClain (Lee), and sister, June McAlister of Paducah, KY. She was the grandmother of five, Daniel Lofton, Kimberly Robertson (Risher), Courtney Herring, Tyler McClain (Caitlin), and Jake Herring (Cheyenne). She had nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Gail was a member of the Church of God, McNeely Road, Natchez, MS.

Family, friends, and others are invited to Laird Funeral Home in Natchez for visitation from 10 until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17, followed by a graveside service at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Natchez with Dr. Brian Monehan officiating the service.

Pallbearers will be Danny Lofton, Dexter Herring, Daniel Lofton, Tyler McClain, Jake Herring and Risher Robertson.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
