Category 2 Hurricane Gilma: National Hurricane Center’s Monday, Aug 26 status report

According to the National Hurricane Center’s 10 am Monday advisory, Category 2 Hurricane Gilma is 1220 miles east of Hilo Hawaii, with maximum sustained wind of 105 mph. It’s moving 8 mph to the west.
“Although some weakening is forecast during the next few days, Gilma is still expected to be a hurricane when it reaches the central Pacific basin on Tuesday.” according to meteorologists.
YESTERDAY (Sunday):
Yesterday, Gilma strengthened into a Category 3 hurricane then devolved into a Category 2 hurricane with sustained winds of 105 miles per hour.
