NATCHEZ — Justice Court Judge Audrey Minor has resigned.
Minor said Friday morning she resigned because of a medical condition but would not comment further.
Minor was in Jackson on Friday with her attorney, Tim Blalock of Natchez, for a hearing before the Mississippi Judicial Performance Commission on a complaint filed against her by former Justice Court Judge Eileen Maher.
Before the hearing began, Blalock reported to the commission that Minor was resigning her position as Judge Court Judge.
Contacted Friday morning, Maher confirmed she had filed the complaint against Minor and was in Jackson for the hearing, but she would not provide specifics of the complaint.
“It had to do with things that happened right before the election,” Maher said.
