NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Frances Margaret Granger Richardson, 86, of Natchez, who died on Saturday, August 31, 2024, in Natchez, will be Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the King Solomon Baptist Church with Bishop Curtis Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at the Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 6, 2024, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Frances was born Jan. 2, 1938, in Natchez, the daughter of Frankie Shropshire Granger and Herod Granger. During her working life, she did private duty homecare for various families in the Miss-Lou. She was previously a member of the Jerusalem Baptist Church #2 in Kingston and later joined King Solomon Baptist Church, where she served as a faithful Mother until her health began to fail. In her spare time, Frances enjoyed reading the bible, attending church, and spending time with her only daughter, granddaughters and great-granddaughters.
She is preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory: one daughter, Lillie Mae Richardson Burkes; brother, David Paul Granger, Sr. (Mary); granddaughters, Adriannia Collins, Kiara Burkes, and Erika Burkes; great-granddaughters, Angelica Robinson and Drexel Collins; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
