LAFAYETTE, LA – Williams Suttles Pace, 58 of Lafayette, LA, died on Aug. 13, 2024, at home after a lengthy illness. He was born in Natchez and lived and worked for many years as an independent paint contractor prior to relocating to Lafayette, LA where he has lived the past several years.

The former Natchez native will be remembered by family and friends for his unique and funny sense of humor and great work ethic.

He is survived by two daughters, Keely Pace of Little Rock, AR, and Katherine “Kate” Pace-Young, (Nicolas) of Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Ava Wilson and Sora Stepp both of Little Rock, AR; sisters, Rebecca Pace Nelson and Deborah Pace Wheat; brother, James Doyle Pace II (Kathy), and several cousins, nephews and nieces.
