NATCHEZ — Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a fire that started in a mobile home at 39 Saragossa Road on Saturday afternoon, but a quarter to one-third of the home was already damaged, said Natchez Fire Chief Robert Arrington.

“Firefighters were able to get it out quickly on arrival but there was significant damage to one-quarter to one-third of the trailer and smoke damage throughout,” Arrington said.

Thankfully, there were no injuries to residents or to firefighters who fought the blaze, he said.

“When we received the call there were individuals inside but they got out safely before our arrival,” Arrington said.
