A search involving multiple agencies is underway for 45-year-old Lawerence Daniel Baker, who called 911 Saturday to say that he had been lost in the woods near 36 Pond Meadows Road for two days before his phone went dead, authorities said.
Baker made contact with Adams County E911 at 1:20 p.m., but later attempts to connect with him were unsuccessful.
No one was able to make contact with the victim again due to his cell phone dying.
At this time, a search is being conducted in the Pond Meadow and Greenfield Road areas by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, Adams County Emergency Management, Adams Search and Rescue, and Mississippi Wildlife and Fisheries, Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said.
“Baker suffers from a condition that impairs his judgment,” the sheriff said. “We are asking any who knows of Lawerence Daniel Baker’s whereabouts, to call 911 or call Adams County Sheriff’s Office immediately at 601-442-2752. Thank you all in advance for your help.”
