VIDALIA – Funeral services for JoAnne Clay, 75, of Vidalia, who died on Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, in Alexandria, will be held on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the St. Stephen Baptist Church with Rev. Michael White, Sr., officiating.

Burial will follow at the Vidalia City Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024, from 5 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home and on Sunday from noon until the time of the service at the church.

JoAnne was born Oct. 13, 1948, in Vidalia, the daughter of Blanche Riley and Clarence Riley, Sr. She was a member of the St. Stephen Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd Clay; sister, Marie D. Green; and brother, Clarence F. Riley, Jr.

JoAnne leaves to cherish her loving memory: son, Cassius Clay (Cynthia); daughters, Cheryl Riley, Shelia Riley, Bridgette L. Clay, Stratton Clay, and Tempest Mounga; step-daughter, Anita Jackson (Brannon); thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
