Heat index values up to 115 degrees foreseen until Friday evening

On Friday at 5:58 a.m. an excessive heat warning was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Friday between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.
The NWS adds, “Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 115 degrees expected.”
“Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events,” states the NWS.
