WOODSWORTH, LA – Graveside services for Calvin W. Owens, 76, of Alexandria, LA formerly of Winnsboro, LA, and Ferriday who passed on July 11, 2024, will be held Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Alexandria Memorial Garden Cemetery in Woodsworth, LA. Pastor Phillip Taylor will officiate. A visitation will be held on Friday evening from 4 until 6 p.m. at Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mr. Owens, son of Allen and Charity Turner Owens, was born on July 18, 1947, in Ferriday and died at his residence in Alexandria. He retired as a manager of Eckerd Pharmacy in Alexandria. Also, he was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his two children, Petrina Greenhouse and her husband, Newman, III of Alexandria, and Bonita Almore and her husband, Jessie of Haughton LA; one godsister, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and three sisters-in-law.

Mr. Owens is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bobby Birdon Owens, and one son, Calvin D. Owens.
