NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Kenny Vicks, Sr., 58, formerly of Natchez, who died on Sunday, June 30, 2024, in Desoto, TX, will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at West Gate Funeral Home (George F. West Sr. Memorial Chapel) at 10 a.m. with Pastor Wilsonni Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow at the McCoy Cemetery in Dolorosa under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 20, from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Kenny was born Aug. 20, 1965, in Natchez, the son of Bessie Lee Washington Vicks and Dan Vicks, Sr. He was a construction contractor. He was a member of the New Zion #1 Baptist Church in Natchez. In his spare time, Kenny enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lionel Vicks; and a sister, Betty Jean Vicks.

Kenny leaves to cherish his memories: son, Kenny Vicks, Jr.; grandson, Deshawn Vicks; granddaughter, Kaylee Vicks; brother, Dan Vicks, Jr.; sister, Lenora Vicks-Thomas (Stanley); nephews, Scotty Dunbar, Dan Bucks, and Dionel Vicks; and a host of other relatives and friends.
