Sandra Kay Brewer Jinkins was born in Dermott, AR, the daughter of Kathleen and Martin Brewer.

A private burial will take place at a later date.

Kay graduated from Bossier High School in Bossier City, LA in 1961. She also received her Bachelor of Arts in Education at Northwestern University in 1965 and attended Graduate school at the University of Alabama. Kay was an active and beloved member of her church and community.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Ron Jinkins; son, Brad Jinkins and wife, Dani of Pensacola, FL; grandson, Logan Jinkins of Metairie, LA; nephew, Jeff Wood, and niece, Laura Wood both of Lafayette, LA; sister-in-law, Pat Jinkins of Shreveport, LA, and numerous cousins and dear friends.

Memorial contributions may be sent to her favorite charity, The Adams County Humane Society.
