NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Bennie Jones, Jr., 69, of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in Natchez will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Christian Hope Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Elbert Eakins officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenleaf Baptist Church Cemetery in Fayette under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Bennie was born July 9, 1954, the son of Mildred Braxton Jones and Bennie Jones, Sr. He was a 1972 graduate of North Natchez Adams High School and furthered his education at Jackson State University earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Bennie was a retired electrician. Mr. Jones was a member of Greenleaf Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He also was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. He enjoyed watching JSU sports and Pittsburgh Steelers, joggings, traveling and spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Roderick Lowe.

Bennie leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Tommie Jones; son, Bennie Jones III; daughters, Be’Lon Jones, Brandi Jones, Yashica Rogers, other relatives and friends.
