NATCHEZ – Dennis James ‘D.J.’ Carithers died in Lafollette, TN on May 8, 2023. He was 31 years young. D. J. was born in Grand Prairie, TX, and raised in Natchez. He worked as an Inspector on shutdowns in the oil industry across the South.

He is survived by his mother, Deborah Carithers, and brother Eli Carithers both of Natchez; sister, Tiffany A. Parker of Abilene, TX; young daughter, Isabella Carithers of South Carolina, and additional family members.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dennis J. Allen of Abilene, TX, and brother, Adam R. Carithers of Natchez.

Memorial services will be held at Redemption Church, 2164 Second St., Natchez on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 1 pm. Pastor Phillip Watts will officiate. Flowers and/or donations are welcomed at the church.
