NATCHEZ – Funeral Services for Mary Louise Green, 89, of Natchez, MS who died June 13, 2024, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church with Pastor Melvin White, officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m., Friday, at Bateaste Memorial Funeral Services Chapel.

Burial will follow at Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery under the directions of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Services.

Mrs. Green was born on Nov. 24, 1934, the daughter of the Late Hugo and Carrie Davis.

She was retired from Howard Johnson Hotel

Mrs. Green served on the Mother’s Board and enjoyed spending time with family, watching westerns, and going to church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Freddie Green; two brothers, James Davis, and Lee Andrew Davis Sr.; four sisters, Celia Dixon, Ellen Davis, Charlestine Davis, and Ida Poche; grandparents, Richard and Celia Norman and Hugo and Ida Davis; son, Aaron Green, and granddaughter, Stephanie Fleming.

Mrs. Green is survived by her sister, Dorethea D. Chatman, and brother, Ernest (Teresa) Davis both of Natchez; three daughters, Patricia (Richard) Griggs of Houston, TX, Deloris Davis (Nathaniel) and Carolyn Montgomery of Natchez; seven grandchildren, Tiffany (Montrell) Fleming, Amber (Isom) Washington, Catina (Quinell) Davis, Roderick Green (Michelle), Patricia Green, Yolanda Green and Jasmine Thomas.

Pallbearers will be Larry Banks, Patrick Banks, Michael Chatman, Joe Thomas, Patrick Conner and Carl Lewis
