NATCHEZ — A Woodville man was not injured when he lost control of his vehicle and it overturned on Kingston Road near Palatine-Aventine Plantation Road at approximately 8 p.m. Monday.
However, Warren Manuel Perkins, 55, of 17519 U.S. 61 South, Woodville, was arrested by Adams County Sheriff’s deputies and charged with driving under the influence and driving with a suspended driver’s license.
The Kingston Road resident reported to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office that a green Mazda Truck had overturned and was leaking gas on the roadway.
Perkins told deputies he was traveling eastbound on Kingston Road when another truck was approaching him traveling in the opposite direction in his lane of travel, according to the accident report. He said he swerved to miss the truck and lost control of his vehicle.
Deputies reported smelling an intoxicating beverage on Perkins, who allegedly admitted he had been drinking beer.
