NATCHEZ — A juvenile was injured and had to be airlifted to a hospital late Saturday afternoon after an ATV accident at a private event.

Adams County Sheriff’s Deputies planned to block off U.S. 84 near Windy Hill Road for the rescue helicopter to land. However, Core Civic Correctional Facility granted permission for the helicopter to land on its property.

The juvenile and another person were in a 4-wheeler accident at the annual Fleming Crawfish Boil and Trail Ride on Windy Hill Road. The injured juvenile is suspected to have a broken leg. The other injured person was transported to a hospital in a private vehicle.
