NATCHEZ — A Brookhaven man turned himself in to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday and has been charged with rape.
Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said his office began an investigation on April 24 into an alleged rape of an Adams County resident.
On May 7, Adams County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigators obtained an arrest warrant charging James Gove, 26, of Brookhaven with rape-assault with intent to ravish.
Patten said he would release no more details about the case at this time due to the sensitive nature of the crime.
