“When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.” Psalm 34:17
Church leaders in multiple denominations — Catholics, Baptists, United Methodist and the new Global Methodist — gathered with community members and leaders on Thursday with one belief in common, when multiple people gather to pray, God answers.
The Natchez Ministerial Alliance organized a prayer service observing the National Day of Prayer, which was held inside the Natchez Grand Hotel instead of on the bluff due to rain.
But that didn’t stop more than 100 people from attending and lifting their voices with songs of praise and prayer.
This gallery includes scenes from the prayer service at the Natchez Grand Hotel on Thursday.
