NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Elder Willie Gray Jr., 88, of Georgia (formerly of Natchez), who passed away on April 3, 2024, in Lawrenceville, GA, will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 3 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. J. L. Hammitte officiating under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation services will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, from 3 until 5 p.m. at the Marshall Funeral Home Chapel in Natchez, and on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 2 p.m. until the service time at Antioch Baptist Church.
Elder Willie was born on Aug. 28, 1935, in Mississippi, to Mattie Gray and Willie Gray Sr.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mattie Earl Gray Dawson and Willie Gray Sr.; his stepfather, Earnest Dawson; wife, Zenola Haynes-Gray; brother, James Earl Gray; son-in-law, Walter Quinn Parker Sr.
Elder Willie leaves to cherish his memories, five daughters, Jacqueline Hawkins and husband, Maurice of Natchez, MS, Kawanna Watson her husband, Jabori, Nikki Diggs, and Kedra Mack all of Atlanta, GA, and LaToya Parker of Birmingham, AL; six granddaughters, LaKea Patterson and husband, Stephan, Jalea Gray, Keyonta Ann Queen Parker, LaKailia Mack, Katilin Mack, and Ashley Hawkins; four grandsons, Walter Quinn Parker Jr., William Watson, Cameron Parker, and Quinton Parker; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
