NATCHEZ — Natchez appears to have survived overnight storms, which are not yet over.

Adams County Emergency Management Director Robert Bradford said no damage reports were received as of this morning.

Entergy’s map indicates fewer than 50 scattered outages in the county.

”We did have a couple of trees down this morning cleared and we’re watching weather coming in to survive the next hour or two,” Bradford said. “By 1 p.m.  we should be in the clear.”

A tornado watch remains in effect until 1 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service Jackson office, focus has shifted well to southeast in areas of moderate risk, where tornadoes are likely. A slight risk of strong wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour remains for the immediate area with the worst of the threat ending around 11 a.m.
