NATCHEZ– Memorial services for Patrice Vonzelle Washington – Vivian, 65, of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Monday, March 18, 2024, in Vicksburg, will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at West Gate Funeral Home (George F. West Sr. Memorial Chapel) with Minister Cottrell King officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery on Monday, March 25, 2024, under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Patrice was born on Dec. 8, 1958, in Natchez, the daughter of Barbara J. Washington and Herman Mozee. She was a 1976 graduate of North Natchez High School and was a Retired Red Cross Volunteer. Patrice was a member of the Friends of Harmony Choir.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Charles Bates.

Patrice leaves to cherish her memories: her loving daughters, Taahira Vivian and Taayibah Vivian; granddaughter, MaKayla Vivian; brother, Herman Mozee, Jr.; sisters, Valerie Mozee and Barbara Washington; aunts, Ruthie L. Washington, Elizabeth A. Dunham, Julia Berry, and Hazel Washington; and a host of other relatives and friends.
