NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Kenneth Charles Hogans, Jr., 65, of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in Natchez will be held Friday, March 22, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. D. W. Howard officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 4:30 until 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Kenneth was born on Jan. 7, 1959, in Natchez, the son of Dorothy Jean Collins Hogans and Kenneth Charles Hogans, Sr. He was a graduate of Skyline High School in Oakland, CA. Mr. Hogans was a United States Army veteran. He attended Moler Barber College in Oakland and became a barber. He enjoyed sports, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Emma Collins Lewis, Fritz Lewis, George Collins, Charles Ellis, Mathiel Tucker; aunt, Carol Tucker and uncles, Charles Eliis, Jr., Danny Ellis, George Albert Collins, and Allen Oliver.

Kenneth leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Renay Hogans; daughter, Kristin Hogans; parents, Dorothy Hogans and Kenneth Charles Hogans, Sr.; brother, Dwayne Hogans, Sr. (Jacki); sister, Kimberly Archie (Reggie); aunts, Georgia Oliver, Emma Rose Jackson (Larry), Carolyn Ellis; uncles, Willie Ray Sims, Earl Ellis, nieces, Destenee Hogans, Chloe Archie; nephews, Dwayne Hogans, Jr. (Dreanna), Darius Hogans (Erica) and James Archie, cousins, other relatives and friends.
