NEWELLTON, LA – Funeral services for Nola Ann Poole Cullum, 83, of Vidalia, LA will be held at Newellton First Baptist Church on Monday, March 11, 2024, at 3 p.m. with Bro. Richard Cullum officiating. Interment will follow at Legion Memorial in Newellton, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Nola was born on Monday, Oct. 14, 1940, in Sulfur, LA, and went to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, in Jonesville, LA surrounded by family. She loved flowers and watching birds. Nola was very well known at Walmart; she enjoyed that trip. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her. Nola has completed her journey to Jesus, and we will celebrate her life lived, and rejoice that she is in the arms of the Lord.

She is reunited with her parents, Henry Alton Poole and Maxine Vincent Poole.

Those left behind to cherish Nola’s memories are her husband of 64 years, Richard Cullum of Vidalia, LA; sons, Ricky Cullum and his wife, Cheryl of Ferriday, LA, and Bryan Cullum and his wife, Jennifer of Georgia; daughter, Angie Renee Hollowell of Vidalia, LA; grandchildren, Kimberly Pounds, James Hollowell, Corey Cullum, Ashley Cullum, Christina Shreeman, Kyle Cullum, Michael Bryan Cullum, Jr., and Kayleigh Cullum; 17 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Those honoring Nola as pallbearers will be Ricky Cullum, Corey Cullum, Kyle Cullum, Bryan Cullum, Avery Micheau, and JD Hollowell.

The family will receive friends at Newellton First Baptist Church on Monday, March 11, 2024, from 2 p.m. until service time at 3 p.m.
