NATCHEZ – Funeral Services for Larry Givens, 67, of Natchez, MS who died Feb. 23, 2024, will be at noon on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Zion Hill #1 Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Pickett, officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Services.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024, at Bateaste Memorial Funeral Services Chapel.

Larry was born on Feb. 2, 1957, the son of Emma M. Givens and Dumas Hawkins.

He was a Baptist and a retired painter.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Emma M. Givens and Dumas Hawkins; stepson, Eric Bailey; brother, Roy L. Givens, and sister, Debra A. Givens.

He is survived by one son, Michael E. (Temica) Prater of Harvey, LA; four sisters, Linda Blanton, Minnie Morris, and Dorothy Bates all of Natchez, and Sharon (Charles) Harrison of Jackson, MS; four brothers, Jerry Givens, and Maurice (Jackie) Hawkins of Natchez, Dewitt (Charene) Givens of D’Iberville, MS, and Charles Williams of Atlanta, GA; two granddaughters, Miayah Prater, and Marylin Dorsey, and one grandson, Michael Prater Junior.
