NATCHEZ – Services for Robert Odell ‘ROHO’ Day of Natchez who died Monday, March 4, 2024, in Natchez will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Laird Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Kevin Campbell will be officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Laird Funeral Home
Robert Odell ‘ROHO’ Day went to college at Southwest Mississippi College in Summit, MS, and played football there. He returned to Natchez and worked at Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company, Fidelity Tire, and Titan Tire until his retirement. He was an avid hunter and fisherman for years. Always had a hunting or fishing story to tell. He was a big New Orleans Saints fan for years.
Odell was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Day; father, Robert Edwin Day; mother, Mary Ann Day; brothers, Bob Wayne King and Bill King; paternal grandparents, Robert “Dutch” And Lola Day; maternal grandparents, Edward and Mary Good along with numerous other relatives.
He is survived by his sons, Robert Day, Jr. and wife, Jeanette, David Day, and Tim Day; sister, Martha Roy; nephew, Glen Roy, Jr.; grandsons, Anthony Day, Aaron Day, Corvan Day (Erin), Zack Day (Kory), and Jarrett Day; granddaughter, El Day; great-granddaughters, Kalee Williams and Brooklyn Moore; and great-grandsons, Briar Day, Eli Day, and Casen Day.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Day, Corvan Day, Zack Day, Jarrett Day, Kyle Wood, and Lynn Dunson.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the caregivers, Kia and Flora, and staff of Heart2Heart, and Hospice Compassus.
