FAYETTE – Funeral services for Allen D. Herrington Sr., 91, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024, at his residence; will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2024, at Greenleaf Baptist Church in Fayette, MS., with Pastor Elbert Eakins Officiating under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Natchez, National Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel from 3 until 5 p.m. and again Friday, March 8, 2024; at Greenleaf Baptist Church from 10 a.m. until service time.

Allen was born March 28, 1932, in Fayette, MS, to Tennie Lee Jones Bridgewater and Willie Smith. Allen was a veteran of the US Army.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Tennie Lee Jones Bridgewater and Willie Jones; his wife, Mary B. Herrington; two sisters, Diane D. Rone and Rosa Lee George; and one brother, Murray D. Hawkins.

Allen leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter, Denise H. Brown and husband, Henry; four sons, Allen D. Herrington Jr., Clyde B. Herrington and Aundrea; Hugh E. Herrington and wife, Janice and Micheal A Herrington and wife, Felecia; one sister, Zandra D. Lucas and husband, Marvin; two brothers, Delinor D. Smith and wife, Sheila and Michael D. Smith and wife, Sharon; two sisters-in-law, Leona Mosby and Barbara Mosby; one brother-in-law, Maurice Mosby; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
