Frankfort Regional Medical Center has appointed John Ballard, PhD, FACHE, as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Ballard brings a wealth of experience and a commitment to excellence in healthcare leadership to his new role.
A native of Natchez, Ballard joins Frankfort Regional Medical Center with an impressive background in healthcare administration.
Most recently, he served as CEO at Forrest City Medical Center in Arkansas, where he oversaw operations at a 118-bed full-service acute care facility.
Before his tenure at Forrest City Medical Center, Ballard held CEO positions at Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, Ky., and Parkway Regional Hospital in Fulton, Ky.
Frankfort Regional Medical Center is a 173-bed, acute-care facility serving Frankfort and surrounding communities.
An affiliate of HCA Healthcare, it is an Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI, Level III Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center and Certified Total Joint Care Program. Frankfort Regional has earned numerous awards and accolades for its quality of care.
Ballard earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge followed by an MBA in finance from Alcorn State University in Natchez.
Ballard furthered his education by obtaining a doctorate of philosophy in epidemiology from Walden University in Minneapolis. Ballard is an active member of his community.
He is deeply involved with various organizations, including Rotary and enjoys participating in outdoor activities, particularly wild turkey hunting.
