NATCHEZ – Funeral service for Early Lyles, Jr., 69, of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024, in Natchez will be held Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Greater St. James Baptist Church with Pastor Wilsonni Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow at Elgin Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Early was born April 28, 1954, in Natchez, the son of Susie Bell Dobbins and Early Lyles, Sr. He was educated in the Natchez Adams School District and was a self-employed mechanic. Mr. Lyles is a member of Greater St. James Baptist Church. Early enjoyed car racing and automotive mechanics.

He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Mary and Joseph Dobbins and Frank and Irene Lyles.

Early leaves to cherish his memories: daughter, Earline Kinnie; brothers, Albert Dobbins (Lillian), Elbert Lyles, Sr. (Yolanda), Willie Lee Dobbins (Delores), Joseph Lyles (Tina), Melvin Lyles (Patricia); sisters, Glenda Lyles and Sue Ann Cain (Luther Sr.); companion, Rebecca Frye; grandchildren, Ciera Demby, Carmen Demby, Carlos Demby, Jr.; step-son, Jason Scott, other relatives, and friends.
