NATCHEZ – Funeral services for Clarence Edward Lloyd, Sr., 79, of New Llano, LA formerly of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Monday, Jan. 8, 2024, in Sulphur, LA will be held Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Union Baptist Church with Pastor Joe W. Pickett officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 19, 2024, from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Clarence was born March 5, 1944, in Natchez, the son of Victoria Hollins and Solomon Lloyd. He was a graduate of the Sadie V. Thompson High School Class of 1962 where he served as Class President. He retired from Holsum Bakery where he was a driver and plant operator. Mr. Lloyd was a volunteer for the American Legion #387. Clarence enjoyed watching sports and westerns and was a lover of life and laughter.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Brown.
Clarence leaves to cherish his memories: sons, Clarence Lloyd, Jr. (Pamela) and Theodric Lloyd; daughters, Vanessa Lloyd McIntosh and Kimberly Woods; brother, Wilbert Lloyd; grandchildren, Marcus Lloyd (R’el), Emily Lloyd Fort (Dexter), Tkai Lloyd, Micah Lloyd, Myles Lloyd and Kingston Carter; nephews, Demetrius Lloyd and Theron Lloyd, other relatives and friends.
