Natchez, Adams County under triple weather alerts

NATCHEZ — Natchez and the Miss-Lou are under a triple-whammy of alerts from the National Weather Service in Jackson.
A Winter Weather Advisory, issued on Sunday, continues here until 6 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
That advisory alerts residents to the potential for a chance of sleet, right now at 40 percent, with a high of 30 today. The chance of sleet is forecast to happen mainly before 7 p.m.
A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for the Miss-Lou from 6 p.m. Monday night to noon on Tuesday. While the low Monday night is predicted to be around 16, wind chill values put it as low as zero.
Lastly, the area is under a Hard Freeze Warning, in effect from 6 p.m. Monday through 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
The high on Tuesday is expected to be 30 degrees, while the low Tuesday night is expected to be 12 degrees.
Wednesday’s high is forecast to be 44 degrees, according to the National Weather Service Jackson office.
