NATCHEZ — The search for three escaped juveniles from a Hinds County detention center continues on Tuesday.
The escapees are Tayshon Holmes, 17; Robert Smith, 16; and Jashon Jones, 15.
The same trio escaped from the Hinds County facility six months ago and should be considered armed and dangerous.
They are suspected of carjacking and shooting a woman at the Stanton Baptist Church in Natchez around 2:30 p.m. Monday and driving away in the woman’s gold or bronze-colored 2015 Ford Fusion with the tag number ADC8276 and a broken window.
A similar vehicle was spotted Monday evening in the downtown Natchez area but hasn’t been seen since. It’s unclear whether it was the stolen car.
Anyone who spots these individuals, the vehicle or has additional information should immediately call 911 or contact the Adams County Sheriff’s Office at 601-442-2752 or Crime Stoppers at 888-442-5001 to leave an anonymous tip.
