VIDALIA – Funeral services for J. R. ” Buck” Denny, 91, of Vidalia, LA who passed away on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023, will be at 2 p.m. with visitation beginning at noon until the time of service on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023, at First Baptist Church Vidalia. Graveside service will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home, Natchez, MS.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis J. Denny and Lois Atkins Denny; wife of 66 years, Joye Jones Denny; son, Jay Reginald “Bucky” Denny Jr., and one sister, Beth Warren.

Survivors include his daughters, Lynda Anderson and husband, Dennis of Vidalia, Loyce Marchbanks and husband, David of Vidalia, Lisa Rotolo and husband, David of Oxford, MS; grandchildren, Josh Anderson, Jordan Anderson (Christy), Meghan Bush (Steven), Matthew Marchbanks, Hanna Claire McCullough (Wesley), and Sarah Beth Neaville (Trace); ten great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Harry Warren of Palatine, IL and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Josh Anderson, Jordan Anderson, Matthew Marchbanks, Steven Bush, Wesley McCullough, and Trace Neaville. Honorary pallbearers will be past W.G. Patrons and any workers from L. J. Denny and Son Trucking Company.
