Graveside services for Charles “Charlie” Campbell, 73, of Natchez, MS will be held at Legion Memorial Cemetery on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023, at 2:30 p.m., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Charlie was born on Saturday, Feb. 25, 1950, in Sparkman, AR to Charles Cecil Campbell and Hazel Campbell and passed away Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2023, in Vidalia, LA. He was raised in Somerset, where his parents ran the store. Charlie was a resilient man and headstrong, but he would help anyone in need and give the shirt off of his back. Charlie cherished his beloved wife, loved his children, and adored his grandchildren. He was a true family man and will forever be remembered as “Soup”. Charlie will be missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know him.
He is reunited with the love of his life, Tomi Lou Bradley Campbell; daughter, Mary Shannon; parents; brothers, James Campbell and Bud Campbell; sister, Sue Campbell; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bethel Bradley and Hilda Bradley.
Those left behind to cherish “Charlie’s” memories are his sons, Bradley Campbell of Natchez, MS and Blake Campbell and his wife, Jan of Natchez, MS; daughters, Blair May and her husband, Jason of Holly Ridge, LA and Bonnie Clark and her husband, Tony of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Taylor Barnett and her husband, Josh, Karlee Coldiron, Paisley Campbell, Dawson Campbell, Ava May, Sawyer May, Crawford May, Edmond May, Braeden Clark; great-grandson, Benton Dillon; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Gossett, Hoyt Arnold, Paul Freeman, Darrell Maynard, Chad Gossett, Randy McDonald, Sawyer May, Crawford May, Edmond May, Braeden Clark, and Benton Dillon.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023, from 1:30 p.m. until service time at 2:30 p.m.
