NATCHEZ – Funeral Services for Laura Lee Campbell Hardin, 77, of Bonaire, GA, formerly of Natchez, who departed this earthly life on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, in Macon, GA will be held Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at New Hope-The Vision Center.

Burial will follow at Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023, from 4 until 5 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue on Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Laura was born on Aug. 13, 1946, in Natchez, the daughter of Claude and Bernice Campbell. She was a 1965 graduate of Sadie V. Thompson and was a retired self-employed caregiver. Mrs. Hardin was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Natchez. She enjoyed cooking, decorating, sewing, and gardening.

She is preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Freddie L. Hardin, and grandson, Cameron Scott.

Laura leaves to cherish her memories: her daughters, Tamanaca Ellis (James) and Latrell Scott (Calvin); sister, Lula Hunt (Charles); grandchildren, Jalyssa Ellis, James Ellis II, Calvin Scott II; godsons, Mickey Abston (Rukia) and Ronnie Williams, Jr.; additional children, Lee Hardin (Dionne), Alfredia Green, Wesley Hardin (Toni), Freddie Hardin III (Kesha), Dr. Terri McGruder, Patricia Sherley (Maurice); sister-in-law, Deborah Harden; nephews, Frederick Hunt, Sr., Calvin Hunt , Nyana Harden; nieces, Dr. Kamiti Harden-Garcon, Dr. Bahati Harden, other relatives and friends.
