CLINTON — Katreena Nichole Shelby of Natchez and Karl E. Smallwood of Meadville both received their bachelor’s degrees from Mississippi College during spring commencement.

President Lee Royce conferred degrees upon 650 undergraduate, graduate and law students.

Commencement speakers included humourist Dennis Swanberg who presented the address for undergraduate ceremonies. Addressing the graduate school students was Dr. Stan Baldwin, science and mathematics dean, biology department chair and associate professor at MC

Shelby received her MSS degree and Smallwood graduated summa cum laude with a BSED degree.
