NATCHEZ — Two burglaries in Natchez have resulted in three arrests and the recovery of some of the stolen items, Natchez Police Chief Mike Mullins said.
Tevin R. Moore, 19, 1244 Daisy St., was arrested Sunday and charged with two counts of receiving stolen property.
As a result, two minors, males, ages 14 and 15, were arrested and charged with burglary, Mullins said.
At 7:30 p.m. on May 13, a burglary was reported on the 1400 block of George F. West Boulevard. Homeowners discovered a broken pane of glass on the back door, where the house was entered. A Hewlett-Packard laptop computer, Toshiba laptop computer and Xbox were reportedly stolen.
A burglary was reported at 3 p.m. the next day on the 1000 block of North Union Street. Mullins said suspects had entered the residence through an unlocked window at the back of the house. A 9mm ruger pistol, a Playstation 3 and 10 games were stolen.
Through Moore’s arrest, the Playstation 3, 10 games and Hewlett-Packard laptop computer were recovered.
Mullins said the investigation will continue to recover the remaining stolen items, and to find out if the suspects are connected to other burglaries.
