NATCHEZ — Six local vending machines were vandalized and emptied of all monetary contents Monday.

Natchez Police Chief Mike Mullins said vending machines at Natchez Market No. 2, the Days Inn, Southside Market, Camelot Apartments, Dirt Cheap and Natchez Community Hospital were pried open so the money could be taken.

All of the machines were damaged, leading to a charge of felony malicious mischief.
