NATCHEZ — Funeral Services for Roger Lee King Sr., 66, of Natchez, who died January 9, 2021, were at 5 p.m., Sunday, January 17 at Bateaste Memorial Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Edward Brown officiating.
The burial was 10 a.m. Monday at Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Services.
Visitation was from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the chapel.
Roger Lee King Sr. was born Aug. 10, 1954 in Natchez to Willie King Sr. and
Celeste Washington King.
He served in the United States Army (64 Charlie) and worked for Long Haul Truck Driver after retirement.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and cars — especially Cadillac.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother Alex King; two sisters, Estelle Minor Olegrette Wallace and god sister Willie Mae Mitchell; and goddaughter Ebony King.
Survivors include his daughter, Tamika (Steve) Lilly; two sons, Roger Lee King Jr. and Corey King; sister Eddie Mae (Joseph) Stewart; four brothers Willie (Juanita) King Jr., James Lee King, Louis King, and Scott King; four grandchildren, one goddaughter, Sangelia Canady; two aunts, Julia McFarland and Mary (Robert) Dixon; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
