NATCHEZ — Approximately 1,400 Entergy customers lost power Wednesday evening just before heavy storm rains moved into the area.

Winds associated with a severe thunderstorm warning had already begun blowing in Natchez.

Entergy representative Jim Hedges said the Natchez area lost one electrical circuit, which caused the outage.

Power was restored within an hour.
