Mississippi reports more COVID-19 cases Sunday

The Mississippi State Department of Health on Sunday reported 226 new cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 5 new deaths. Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases since March 11 now stands at 30,900, with 1,111 deaths.
Adams County recorded 1 new case and now has 311 total confirmed COVID-19 cases in the county 18 total deaths.
Adams County Coroner James Lee recorded another COVID-19 death on Saturday and if the MSDH confirms that death to be due to COVID-19 that would put the county’s death toll at 19.
Adams County Emergency Management Agency Director Robert Bradford said Adams County had 45 active COVID-19 cases on Thursday.
Statewide, 102 long-term care facilities have outbreaks as of Sunday.
