A search continued Saturday for a Mississippi man believed to have drowned in the Mississippi River when he was ejected from a boat on Friday.
State media report the man, identified as Alan Wallace, 62, of Bogue Chitto, and his wife were riding in a boat near the mouth of Bayou Pierre in Claiborne County. The boat apparently took a hard turn and tossed them both into the river.
Wallace’s wife made it safely to shore. But he remains missing.
Crews from both the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks and the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries were working to find Wallace’s body.
