NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Claude Albert Carter Sr., 69, of Fayette, who passed away at Merit Health in Natchez on May 17, 2020, will be on Saturday, May 30, 2020, at the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Fayette, MS, at 2 p.m. with burial immediately following officiated by Pastor Lonnie Culbert under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Walk-through-only visitation services will take place on Friday, May 29, 2020, at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel Natchez, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Claude was born in Jefferson County, MS, on March 15, 1951, to Leon and Eva Carter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Leroy Stampley Sr., Lee Edward Carter, and Leon Carter Jr.; and three sisters: Ora Dell Stampley, Irene Norton, and Doris M. Carr.
Claude leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife, Edna Carter; children: Cynthia Culbert, LaShanda Stewart, Frankie Culbert, Meshall Hargrave, Akil Reynolds, Trans Reynolds, and Claude Carter Jr.; seven brothers: Julius Carter Sr., Freddie Carter, Roosevelt Carter, Allen Carter, Anthony Carter, Vincent Carter, and Michael Carter; six sisters: Azelia Shelby, Vivian Wade, Willie Mae Stampley, Diane Bailey, Julia Banks, and Angela Carter; 19 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
