Concordia Parish reports new COVID-19 cases

The Concordia Parish Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Office received reports of five positive COVID-19 cases for Concordia Parish on Wednesday.
Concordia Parish now has a total of 67 positive COVID-19 cases.
The latest cases are reported in a 69-year-old black female, test date and location and status unknown; a 52-year-old Caucasian female, who tested at Riverland Medical Center on May 8 and is on 14 day quarantine at her residence; a 43-year-old black female, who tested at Riverland Medical Center on May 10 and is on a 14-day quarantine at her residence; a 55-year-old black male, who tested at Riverland Medical Center on May 11 and is on a 14-day quarantine at his residence; and a 22-year-old black female, who tested at Riverland Medical Center on May 11 and is on a 14-day quarantine at her residence.
Of Concordia Parish’s 67 cases, 22 are active cases, 40 are inactive cases; and there are five deaths. Fifty-four cases were among blacks, 11 Caucasian and two Hispanic. Thirty eight were among females and 24 among males.
