NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Mamie Jackson, 69, of Vidalia, who passed away in Natchez on May 4, 2020, will be officiated by Pastor Troy Thomas under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Mamie was born in Natchez on Nov. 5, 1950, to John Henry and Maxine Dixon.
She was a faithful member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, PT Jackson; one daughter Glenda Jackson-Clark; one brother, John Washington; sisters: Julia Washington, Armia Dixon, Mary McKenzie, and Viola Gooden.
Clara leaves to cherish her memory four sons: Scottie (Sylenthia) Dixon and Jason Jackson and Wesley T. Jackson all of Vidalia, LA, Darrell Jackson Sr. of Grambling, VA, and; one daughter, Tanya (Marlon) Johnson of Natchez, MS; four godchildren: Breienna Washington, LaShonda Brown, Koren Harris, and Adrian Neyland; four brothers: Jimmy (Mary) Dixon of Cypress, CA, James (Roxanne) and Larry (Jessie) both of Natchez, MS, Leon (Jackie) Dixon of Vidalia, LA; two sisters, Shirley (Johnny) Hunt of Natchez, MS, and Dorthy (Henry) Dixon of Chicago, IL; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; special friends: Bobby Kennedy, Jean Rankin, and Mary Burton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
