NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Bryant E. “Speedy” Wilson, 90, of Natchez, who died Monday, April 27, 2020 in Natchez will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, at Natchez City Cemetery with Father Mark Shoffer officiating.

Services will be under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mr. Wilson was born Feb. 28, 1930, in Natchez, the son of Ira and Mary Wilson.

Mr. Wilson was a life long member of St Mary Basilica in Natchez, and a third-degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Wilson was an avid supporter of Cathedral Greenwave Athletics. He was awarded the first ever lifetime achievement award presented by the Cathedral Athletic Association for his life long support. Mr. Wilson also served three terms as President of the Mississippi Automotive Wholesalers Association.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 66 years, Dorothy McBride Wilson; two sisters Florence Sungland and Ethel Wilson; two brothers Elmer Wilson and Leslie Wilson; and great grandson Logan Wilson Byrne.

Survivors include three daughters Margaret “Peggy” Wilson, Anna Byrne, and Catherine “Monkey” McDaniel; two sons Bryant Wilson and Curtis Wilson and wife Joanne. Mr. Wilson is also survived by one sister, Joyce Norman of Natchez; one brother Ira Wilson of Edmond, OK; eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
